The Oral component accounts for 15% of the total maximum score for PSLE English. That means doing well in Oral can make the difference between AL1 and AL2. Learn the dos and don’ts of PSLE Oral and pick up strategies on how to express yourself clearly in Stimulus-Based Conversation (SBC).

P5 GEP ENGLISH
PERSUASIVE WRITING REVIEW

As part of the GEP English syllabus, students are required to pick up persuasive writing skills with the objective of designing and writing up a print advertisement as their Term 3 Writing Assignment. In this 2-day workshop, our GEP Specialist Teacher will train students in the science and art of effective copywriting.

This workshop is conducted by an ex-GEP Rosyth-RI teacher! Teacher Marcus is a seasoned media reviewer and critic for Rice Media and Yahoo with over 300 published reviews. As a marketing communications expert for fields that span across finance, education and media, he lends his advertising expertise in crafting effective advertisements that sell.

  • Designing effective advertisements and brochures

  • Writing persuasively using logos, ethos and pathos

  • Using the PEEL framework to structure paragraphs

SCIENCE STEM PROJECT - BUILDING REMOTE CONTROL CAR

STEM curriculum is based on the idea of educating students in four disciplines – science, technology, engineering and mathematics – in an interdisciplinary approach based on real-world applications. Through STEM, students will develop key skills such as problem solving, creativity, critical analysis, independent thinking and initiative.


Each student will receive his/her own model remote control car kit. Students will engage in hands-on building of the application while learning the scientific and engineering principles behind them.​

SPEED MENTAL MATHS

TRACHTENBERG SYSTEM

Known to be one of the fastest speed math systems, The Trachtenberg Speed System comprises a number of easily memorised patterns that allow one to perform arithmetic computations without pen and paper. The system primarily focuses on multiplication tricks but with further practice and study you can learn division, addition, subtraction and square root.
