Pokémon is one of the world’s most beloved franchises. Did you know that embedded in the names of the characters and gameplay is a rich range of wordplay, language references and challenging vocabulary?
In this scintillating workshop conducted by a teacher who is a Pokémon fan himself, students will be exposed to the basics of etymology and discover the meanings behind the names of popular Pokémon and their Moves.

Creative Writing Workshop
Composition writing at primary school shouldn’t be as tough as it’s been made out to be. In this workshop, we teach students practical skills they can use to see immediate improvement in their composition scores.
Whilst practice is key to improving, the mastery of any language is rooted in reading. Recognising this, the programme inculcates the love for reading through engaging activities based on classic literary texts and a field trip to the library.

Speed Mental Calculation
The Trachtenberg System
The Trachtenberg Speed System is a system of mental calculation that consists of many maths shortcuts and mental math tricks, particularly for multiplication. Known to be one of the fastest systems of calculation, it comprises a number of easily memorised patterns that allow one to perform arithmetic computations without pen and paper. The system primarily focuses on multiplication tricks but with further practice and study, you can learn division, addition, subtraction and square root.

Hip Hip Heuristics
Maths Problem-Solving Skills
Heuristics questions are arguably the toughest section of the PSLE Maths paper. In schools, Heuristics is typically taught progressively over Primary 4 to 6. Master Key Skills
In Secondary School, students will be required to use language to express their thoughts and opinions on more complex and abstract ideas. To do that, students will need to equip themselves with a specific set of new skills that include summary and expository writing.
