Conditions of enrolment
The terms below apply to every class at Joyous Learning Academy. They cover registration and deposits, withdrawal notice, replacements, payment, conduct and consent.

01Registration & deposit
- A one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $50 applies to new sign-ups, and to re-enrolments after a withdrawal.
- A deposit of $180 per programme applies. It is offset against the final month's fees or any outstanding payments at withdrawal.
- No seat is reserved without payment.
02No suspension of lessons or fees
- Lessons run continuously until the end of November. We close only in December.
- There is no suspension of fees during travel or absences.
- For Secondary English classes, Zoom recordings will not be provided. Absent students receive worksheets and materials for self-study, and teachers continue to mark submitted work.
- For other classes, Zoom recordings may still be provided where applicable.
- A returning student who has withdrawn from a class is subject to a new registration fee.
03Withdrawal policy
- Withdrawal takes effect at the end of a calendar month if notice is given before the month begins. For example, if notice is given on 28 February, the student's last class is 31 March.
- If notice is given after the month has started, withdrawal takes effect at the end of the following month. For example, if notice is given on 7 February, the student's last class is 31 March.
- The deposit is forfeited if the full notice period is not completed.
04Transfers & replacements
- A change of class timing (transfer to a different class) takes effect from the next month, subject to approval.
- If a class falls on a public holiday, or the student is absent, the student may attend a similar class within the same week, subject to availability. Otherwise a Zoom recording will be provided — except for Secondary English classes, where materials are given instead.
- We cannot accommodate individual schedules.
- No refunds or proration apply if a replacement cannot be arranged.
05Worksheets & materials
- Only hard copies of worksheets are provided.
- No soft copies will be sent via WhatsApp or email.
- Materials must be collected from the centre, or couriered at the student's own cost.
06Payment policy
- Fees are payable by the first week of each month.
- If fees are unpaid by the second week, Joyous Learning reserves the right to forfeit the $180 deposit and withdraw the student from the class.
07Behaviour & conduct
- We reserve the right to remove any student or parent who is abusive, disruptive or disrespectful to staff or other students.
- This includes verbal abuse, harassment, unreasonable demands, or repeated disregard for our policies.
08Intellectual property
- All course materials are the property of Joyous Learning.
- Unauthorised sharing, copying or reproduction is strictly prohibited.
09Class & safety policy
- Joyous Learning may adjust class schedules, reassign teachers, or discontinue programmes at its discretion.
- While we take all reasonable safety precautions, Joyous Learning is not liable for any injury, loss or damage on its premises.
10Consent & privacy
- By enrolling, you consent to the use of your child's name, work, photographs and recordings for promotional and academic purposes.
- You also consent to the use of your personal data as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
11General
- These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Joyous Learning.
- Continued enrolment or attendance is deemed acceptance of all current and future versions of our Terms & Conditions, which may be updated from time to time.
- Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
